Being a Radio Disc Jock

Life of a Radio Disc Jock :)

This time i've been interested on the work of my best DJ friend bebe mo sa radyo (you're babe on the radio) DJ ronald duck and the gorgeous DJ Bea. This blog illustrates you on how a DJ works on there every day life. They are the beautiful and gorgeous voices behind those big bulky to compact radios in our very own house and cars. Lots of people think that they do a very easy job. But it`s not because even though they are behind those cameras. Oh by the way tambayan 101.9 does a live video and audio streaming. :D you can check it out at www.tambayan1019.com.

There job aren't easy because you should know how to think or react very fast. And also they have a very stressful life. By the way they do some voice over for endorsement and a lot of others. They say stressful because they encounter things like double boardwork. Double boardwork means that they have to take over the slot of an unavailable DJ for that timeslot.

All the dj's in tambayan101.9 are so friendly and also very easy to approach. I think that the dj's in other stations are also friendly. Filipinos are friendly! So i can easily say that radio is more fun in the philippines!!

Now we talk something about the things they do during their boardworks. First is that they should know how to entertain their listeners. There are different types of listener. The DJ should also know how to make their listeners laugh. They apply their daily experience into their job. And they mix it with a lot of humour.

They also do some hosting jobs for a certain artist. But they always say that it is fun being a DJ.
The most important thing on being a DJ is you should know how to interact with everybody and get along with their personality. :)

Plane Spotting at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 :)

PLANE SPOTTING IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES! :)

Last March 4, 2012 I did plane spotting! I'll describe to you how plane spotting works. Plane Spotting means a person observes or notice the key attributes of an aircraft. They may log in or write down the registration numbers of aircraft that they see for future reference. In some country like the United States particularly Chicago based O'Hare International Airport they consider plane spotting as a job. In fact they created a group or special division for it. Enough said. Might as well you should consider plane spotting as a hobby like me. Some might find it weird. But for me it's not because I'm an aviation enthusiast :). I've been doing this since high school. Unfortunately all the photos are gone :(. Damn! haha. But this time I have the time and the opportunity to do it again. Thanks to my best DJ friend Ronald Duck for letting me use his camera. And also thanks for the time bro. :) And also I suggest you guys to spot on the end of Runway 6 located at Multinational Avenue. Just a few blocks away from the Duty Free Mall at Paranaque City.

Ok this one on the top is Korean Air Boeing 777-300ER bound for Incheon Seoul South Korea. With tail number HL7573. Getting line up for Runway 6. This Korean Air takes about 4 Minutes before lining up on the runway because they are waiting for the Thai Airways International and Philippine Airlines to land. Below are the photos of Thai and PAL.

I've taken so many pictures. Haha if you want to check it out just check my facebook page. Just search Ren Pedernal. :)

For a total of 2 hours I've captured 10 Airliners and 7 different aircraft types.  I encourage you guys to do this kind of activity. If your an aviation ethusiast like me. You will surely enjoy this activity. I hope in the near future the philippine government will make a job like those in chicago o'hare international airport. I'll be the first one to apply for this job. hahaha. Oh before i end i just wanted to show you this picture. Or should i say my best shot for this day.

Sorry for the quality. I'm still practicing my photography skills. :) This is an Eva Air Boeing 747-400 bound for Taipei International Airport with tail number B-16408. So that's it for now. I hope you enjoy reading my blog. God Bless!

The Sound of Music at Resorts World Manila

Hi Guys! This day was marked as the 100th performance day of The Sound of Music at Resorts World Manila.

I'm so honored to see this wonderful event because I've been reading some of the reviews lately and I've been seeing also the posters scattered around the metro. Guess what I've won 2 complimentary tickets for the show. Hahaha. I gave the second ticket to my cousin as a graduation gift for her haha.

I've been luckily selected to win a ticket just by answering a question from them. The question is easy because i already know who will play as Maria Reiner and these are Joanna Ampil or Cris Villonco. They will play as Maria Reiner alternately. Joanna Ampil here is a west end musical actress. She appears at Miss Saigon as Kim. Meanwhile Cris Villonco is the daughter of the prestigious Armida Siguion-Reyna she is also known for a lot of theater works here in the Philippines. They are both good in singing. The Sound of Music cast consists of numerous theater actors and actresses here in the philippines. Playing as Captain Georg von Trapp is Audie Gemora alternately with the actor Ariel Rivera and Jon Joven. Pinky Marquez as Mother Abbess. Pinky Amador as Elsa. Debraliz as Frau Schimdt. And a lot more. The musical is directed by Roxanne Lapus. Video Director is Direk Paul Soriano. One of my idol :) And lastly the music is played live by The Manila PhilHarmonic Orchestra. WOW!. (I've argued with my cousin with it because i really don't believe that they've been playing the background music live but in the end i believe her because they introduced the conductor of the PhilHarmonic Orchestra) :)

Now we should talk about the venue. Actually it's my first time to enter the prestigious Newport Performing Arts Theater. The ambiance and environment was great. Here's a photo of the Newport Performing Arts Theater. Due to copyrights audience are not allowed to take a photo when the show starts. The venue is so cool. The stage has two LED screens on the side and a BIG i really mean big screen in front. I wasn't able to take a picture of the big screen :(.

I won't be able to tell the whole story :( because it's so long hahaha it will take time to finish it. Just see it for yourself... The songs they sang are obviously The sound of music, My favorite things, the famous Do-Re-Mi, my favorite part Sixteen Going on Seventeen and So long farewell which is the funny part. I hope next time i will see Ariel Rivera will play as Captain von Trapp and Cris Villonco as Maria. :) I hope before May 27 I will have the opportunity to come back again :)) It's Really worth it. :)

Guys just watch the whole play. Especially with the whole family. It's a family oriented show that you will surely enjoy it. Tickets can be bought at Ticketworld or at Newport Box Office. Prices ranged from 1000 to 2000. See it's affordable. But for me it's not because i'm just a student hahah :). Maybe in the near future i can tell that it's really affordable. The money you will spend on it is really worth it. And it's also exciting because they extended their show until May 27, 2012. Making them the longest running broadway musical in the Philippines. :) Again, thanks Resorts World Manila for the opportunity. I'm so happy and blessed to see this wonderful musical.

So that's it for now. Good Evening and Happy Sunday Everyone! ;)
